TESTING THE LATEST FAST 1100” RACING TENDER

TESTING THE LATEST FAST 1100” RACING TENDER
We tested the latest Narwhal model FAST-1100,  which is intended as tender for big racing sailboats in the TP52 circuit. This racing tender was specifically designed so its deck is clear of any obstacles and large sails can be transported.

It offers great handling and performance, apart from endurance. It is motorised with two Mercury Verado of 200 HP.

Despite the bad weather conditions, testing the FAST-1100 in the Vigo Bay allowed us to find sheltered areas where to enjoy other sea conditions – from rough seas to slight swells, so we could confirm the high quality of the hull, which we had already tested before.   In fact, this hull allowed us to exceed 50 knots without experiencing the slightest problem.

In this occasion, with seven people on board and the tank full of fuel, we could reach 41.8 knots with a great stability underway, a very interesting fact taking into account its long length.  We must highlight how safe the FAST-1100 crew felt when doing close turns on an average speed over 30 knots, requiring less than two lengths to close the turn.   It also provided great navigation, comfort, high protection for the crew, as it softened wave impact.

The Fast Series rigid inflatable boats offer the best performance and close beam, aimed at emergency and safety works. They have spacious decks and great freeboard for maximum safety and confort.  They are fully customisable as regards its external appearance, as well as its deck configuration.
